Inaugural Sporting Clays Shoot Hits the Mark

A hot day at the range, seven full teams, eight challenging stations, and plenty of friendly competition made the Inaugural Sporting Clays Shoot one to remember.

On September 18, participants gathered at Prairie Grove Shotgun Sports in Columbia, Missouri, for a day built around connection, competition, and supporting educational programs and scholarships. From check-in to the final raffle drawing, the event delivered good shooting, great food, and even better company.

The format struck the perfect balance, competitive enough to keep things interesting but relaxed enough for plenty of conversation between stations. Whether participants were seasoned shooters or simply there to support the cause, everyone had a chance to enjoy the experience.

After the course wrapped up, participants enjoyed a BBQ lunch from Banded Rooster while swapping stories about the morning's best shots. Refreshments followed during the awards ceremony as top performers were recognized and raffle winners announced.

Congratulations to ESS Safety, the day's top shooting team. Their strong performance and team spirit set the bar high for next year's field. A special congratulations also goes to all raffle winners, and thank you to the sponsors, donors, and ticket purchasers whose generosity helped make the raffle a success.
