🎉 New Role, Same Great Talent:

Fresh role, new company, and plenty of exciting change, chapter member Kaylee is diving into her next chapter with energy and enthusiasm. We caught up with her to hear what sparked the move and what she is loving so far!

Q&A Spotlight with Kaylee Cannon:

  1. What’s your new title and what will you be doing?

I’m now a senior geotechnical engineer. In addition to still being a soils/rock nerd, I’ll get to mentor newer staff and review their proposals and reports.

  1. What attracted you to this company?

Their culture. I heard so much about how they truly care for their employees.

  1. What’s your go-to strategy for starting fresh somewhere new?

My go-to strategy is to dive in. It is going to be hard learning new systems/processes regardless, so the sooner you dive in and embrace the struggle, the sooner you get through it.

  1. Coffee or tea… and how many cups to get through a new job week?

Give me a morning espresso with an afternoon Alani!

  1. Fun fact about you that your new coworkers might not know yet?

They don’t know I hate potatoes yet! They may shun me once they find out! They also don’t know I help with floral design on the side. I’ve been designing since I was 16, and I absolutely love it. I now assist on Valentine’s Day, prom, and weddings for the florist I learned from at the beginning.
